Oak Park River Forest Community Foundation Student Enrichment Grants – OPRFCF offers a variety of scholarship opportunities for educational enrichment

Oak Park River Forest Community Foundation Scholarships – Listing of a wide variety of scholarship opportunities for OPRFHS students and others.

The Laura Southwick Fund was established under the auspices of the Oak Park-River Forest Community Foundation in memory of Laura Southwick to provide enrichment grants to young people between the ages of 14 and 17 (freshman, sophomore, or junior) who have shown an interest in the applied or fine arts.

Total grant(s) of $5,000 will be awarded in the spring of the academic year to selected students of the Laura Southwick Committee.  The hope is that this undertaking will encourage young people to begin discovering their own style and start shaping their creative aspirations. The Southwick Committee also wishes to encourage young people to experiment with new forms of expression and/or to express their concerns for social justice and equity. The grant will provide funds to support applied arts, such as design, fashion, graphic arts, photography, creative writing, comedy and performance art. Fine arts, such as painting, sculpture, music, voice and dance will also be considered.
