Sarah has a passion for music education advocacy that was sparked early in her career at the Philadelphia Orchestra where she served in community outreach to bring new audiences to the Academy of Music. She joined the PING! board in 2013 with over 30 years of private and public service experience at for profit start-ups, non-profit education institutions, and several local boards including the League of Women Voters, Admiral at the Lake Foundation, Swarthmore College Alumni Council, and Chicago Friends School. With an advanced degree in Public Health and a BA in Art History Sarah embraces the arts and its essential role in a healthy community. While working at the University of IL Women in Science and Engineering (WISE) program she managed the GEM-SET program, an e-mentoring platform funded by the U.S. Department of Labor to connect over 200 professional mentors to middle/high school/undergraduate/graduate students. She served for 3 years on the PING! mentoring committee and now manages grants and donor records. She is honored to serve as President as PING! enters its 25th anniversary year.
