Job Title: Operations and Program Coordinator
Reports to: Executive Director
Location: Remote except for planned meetings, events, and PING programming
Hours: Approximately 10 per week, including during weekday business hours (required), and occasional evenings and weekends for meetings, events, and PING programming
Rate: $25 per hour

Job Summary:
PING’s Operations and Program Coordinator will help ensure PING business is carried out and completed by planning and overseeing some Music Programming and Operations, while supporting staff and board leads in other areas as assigned by the Executive Director.
All responsibilities serve the mission and purpose of the organization to provide access to instrumental music to students in public schools who benefit from support.
About PING: PING (Providing Instrument for the Next Generation) is a community nonprofit organization providing band and orchestra instruments, mentoring, workshops, and access to lessons, music camps, and trips to students who benefit from support that are in grades 4 through 12 in Oak Park and River Forest, Illinois, public schools. In a community with very high-quality school music programs, PING students can be on par with peers regardless of their financial situations and feel like they belong. PING programming also brings diversity to instrumental music classrooms and beyond, providing access to some traditionally underrepresented populations.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Music Program work includes coordinating access for PING Members for free, year-round concert tickets, private lessons, summer music camps, and other available programming; overseeing music workshops; assisting with membership enrollment, mentoring, roundtables, and music trips awards. Music Program duties also include coordinating waivers and agreements and working on budgeting and payments for relevant Music Program areas.
Marketing and Fundraising work includes leading PING’s Outreach efforts at community events; designing print and online communications materials; placing ads; generating posts and posting to social media; and assisting with fundraising by helping with events and auctions, working on newsletters, and press and community calendar releases. It also includes arranging for photography and helping to keep the website up to date.
Other responsibilities include overseeing Volunteers, including recruitment, placement, and using PING’s CRM to manage volunteer opportunities; using and understanding PING’s CRM to complete other job responsibilities including PING communications, reports, mailing lists, and more; and other assignments as required by the ED.

Ability to work independently, to be self-motivated, and to prioritize tasks.
Ability to function well in an environment that can be high-paced at times.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and/or Google Suite.
Graphic design skills. Knowledge of Canva and/or Constant Contact a plus.
Ability to learn new technologies and employ them as needed on the job.
Preferred Skills/Qualifications:
Understanding budget management and reading spreadsheets.
Working knowledge of CRMs.
DocuSign experience a plus.
Fundraising and event planning experience.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in related field: Nonprofit, Business, Arts, Communications
Two years related experience preferred
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds.
Automobile with valid driver’s license required. Cell phone* required.
Employee provides automobile insurance, including liability coverage.
*A small monthly stipend is paid to offset work-from-home costs.
